The Mac app

Void has no usage analytics, advertising, session recording or automatic crash reporting. Keyboard blocking runs on your Mac. Void discards blocked keyboard events and does not save or send your keystrokes. Accessibility permission lets it block the keyboard; you can revoke that permission in macOS System Settings.

Your app preferences and setup state stay on your Mac. Update checks and downloads contact GitHub, which receives the network information needed to respond. Downloads create temporary installation files. Automatic update checks can be switched off in Void. GitHub describes its handling in its privacy statement.

This website

We count successful page requests to understand which pages and languages are useful. The counter keeps only a day, a predefined page name, a language label and a number. It does not store visitor or session IDs, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, referral URLs or individual browsing histories. We do not measure purchase-button clicks, identify returning visitors or connect website visits to purchases.

Page requests are not unique people. Reloads and automated requests can count; navigation within an already loaded page can be missed. Privacy pages and preference changes are excluded.

The counter records daily totals in Cloudflare D1. Totals are removed there after 14 days; Cloudflare recovery backups may retain earlier counter values for up to 30 additional days. After each day ends, we wait one more full day before sending totals to PostHog in the United States. We send only page-and-language groups with at least five requests. We omit smaller groups. Only totals leave the counter, never end-user IP addresses, request headers or visitor records. PostHog retains these reports for up to one year on the current plan. We do not combine them with customer information, sell them or use them for advertising.

Your choices and browser storage

We do not use analytics cookies. If you choose to be excluded below, a cookie named void_metrics_off stores that choice for 180 days. It has the same value for everyone and contains no identifier. Removing the choice deletes the cookie. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control request headers also disable counting. These protections apply to the browser or request that sends the choice.

The introductory animation uses no cookies or browser storage. This website removes its retired PostHog browser identifier when the page runs.

Hosting and service providers

Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. Its network necessarily handles information such as IP addresses and request details, separate from our counter. We disable our Worker request logs and tracing and do not copy hosting or security logs into product analytics. Cloudflare describes its infrastructure processing, including processing outside your country, in its privacy policy. Providers must follow the applicable service and data-processing terms. An anonymous counter does not mean the internet connection itself is anonymous.

Email support

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any files you choose to include through Gmail. We use these to answer your request and maintain necessary support or dispute records, not for marketing or training AI. We use ordinary consumer Gmail. Google handles email under its own privacy policy, including processing outside Colombia; it is not our contracted Google Workspace processor. Please do not send passwords, payment credentials or sensitive personal information. We review resolved support threads monthly and delete ordinary correspondence 90 days after resolution, at the next review. Records needed for an open dispute or a legal obligation remain only as long as that reason applies. Gmail may retain deleted data under its own retention rules. Privacy requests do not require a government ID by default.

Sending an ordinary support request after reading this notice authorizes Santiago Uribe Gil to use the data you include to answer it, and disclose it to Google through Gmail as explained above. This is optional; you can use the contact address or phone above instead. You can withdraw authorization using those same contact details. Privacy-rights requests do not require consent to unrelated processing.

Payments and licenses

Purchase opens Polar's separate checkout. Polar Software, Inc. is the merchant of record and reseller. Its Checkout Buyer Terms cover the transaction. Its privacy policy explains checkout data, cookies, payment providers such as Stripe, and international processing. Void does not load Polar or Stripe scripts before you follow the link. Our browser-count choices apply to this website, not Polar's website.

Santiago can access customer and purchase records in Polar, including your email, customer ID, order date, product, amounts, tax, discounts, payment and refund status, and license records. Name and billing details are available when supplied. Polar also shows sales totals and checkout conversion reports. We use these records to deliver purchases, manage licenses, answer order questions, handle refunds and disputes, and meet accounting or legal duties. We do not receive full card numbers or security codes, use customer records for advertising, or combine them with our website counts.

We process the order data needed to fulfill your purchase and meet applicable legal duties. Where the law requires authorization, it must cover the stated purpose; visiting this website alone does not give it. Transaction records remain as needed for those duties and disputes, and license records for as long as they support your right to use Void. The 90-day support-email rule is not a deadline for deleting invoices or licenses. Polar may retain records for its own legal obligations. Contact us through the details above about our use of your data, or contact Polar through its privacy policy about its processing. We coordinate requests where needed. This can involve processing in Colombia, the United States and other countries described by Polar.

The current Mac app does not send license-validation requests. We will update this notice before adding native activation or device-related licensing data.

Earlier analytics

Earlier website versions sent pageviews and purchase clicks to PostHog with browser identifiers and technical information. We deleted that entire PostHog project. PostHog confirmed deletion of the project and its associated data on 14 September 2026. The replacement project receives only the aggregate reports described above when collection is enabled.

Privacy rights

You can ask what personal data we hold, request access, correction or deletion, and withdraw authorization or object where applicable. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restriction, portability, an appeal or a complaint to a regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We cannot identify an individual from the counter totals to retrieve or remove their particular requests.

Send requests to the email above. Colombian consultations normally have a 10-business-day response period, with a justified extension of up to five business days; claims normally have 15 business days, with a justified extension of up to eight. Where another applicable law gives different rights or deadlines, we follow it. You may complain to Colombia’s Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio after the required prior consultation or claim, or to your applicable privacy regulator.

Void is a general-purpose Mac utility, not a service directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. Contact us if a child has sent personal information in a support request. We publish material changes to this policy before introducing new processing.
